LCL (Less than Container Load) suits volumes that don't fill a whole container; FCL (Full Container Load) suits cases where the whole container is used for a single shipment.
For small but frequently repeated orders, LCL combined with consolidation can provide a cost advantage.
As volume grows, FCL lowers per-unit freight cost — but storage and cash-flow planning must also be factored in.
